Under the supervision of Prof. Giorgio Grisetti and M.Sc. Dominik Schlegel, the fundamentals of state estimation for non-linear systems, non-linear optimization, factor graphs and C/C++ programming were learned. Particularly, most of the relevant aspects of multi-sensor SLAM in the factor graph formalism were captured and the necessary skills to implement these complex systems from scratch were acquired.
